Happy Halloween

I hope that you all had a safe and happy Halloween, I know we did! Even though we bought pumpkins about 2 weeks ago, the carving did not commence until the day of Halloween. We wanted to do it before then but just couldn't bring ourselves to do it without daddy, therefore we waited until he was back home to carve with us. As soon as the kids got home from school on Friday we started working on pumpkins! I was so proud of the kiddos and all the scooping out of junk that they did all by themselves this year. Yay! Stephie got home from school and said that she wanted to carve her pumpkin but didn't want to take the goop out. Yeah well, this mama didn't want to take the goop out either so she didn't get to do a pumpkin this year.

After the pumpkins were done the kids all got dressed up and into their costumes. Stephie decided that 13 was to old to go trick or treating so she stayed home with me to pass out candy. It was a fun night. The kids got way too much candy and loved every minute of it! We had a ton of trick or treaters and the weather was pretty nice. I love this neighborhood for Halloween. 95% of the house participate and it is just a very family oriented experience. Nothing to scary and just fun for everyone. One house gives out glow sticks every year, another house passes out juice boxes (he feels the kid will be thirsty after all that walking). People sit at the end of their driveways, set up tables, it is just nice!
Anyway, enough talk.....here are some pictures. ENJOY!

Bekah,
I think you could use any sized crockpot, but if it's a big one, you may have to double your recipe. Wouldn't that be a shame!
