Pay It Forward

I recently won a pay-it-forward giveaway from a college friend of mine, Jen. Thanks so much friend! I got a Starbucks gift card, yummy! Since I won, I get to bless three of my readers with something now...in order to pay it forward! :-)
Since a lot of you live far away, I thought I would offer up some gift cards that can be used just about anywhere! One of my favorite things to do when I get a moment is to sit and read. I love getting lost in a good book and just becoming part of that world for the short time I am there. So, I will give a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card to three people. All you need to do it leave me a comment by Monday, January 19th of what your favorite book is and agree to keep this going. You don't need to spend a lot of money to keep it going. It can be anything. Be creative if you want. Just agree to bless three of your readers!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Favorite book? Ever? I have too many. However, I will say that right now I've been reading a lot of cookbooks.

Favorite -- how can it be just one? Mine is A Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton-Porter.

Right now I've finished the book club book, The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion. It was about death, dealing with it and such. The difference between grief and mourning. Really heavy reading but made me think.

The book I just recently bought from B&N was The Power of a Praying Parent. It's so great. I have the wife one. All of Stormie's books are great!

I do make my own wings and they are super easy.

You just buy the bags of chicken wings. Then you heat some oil in a large pan to 350. You dump the chicken in and let it cook for about 13-15 minutes.

Then in a separate pan you mix together two sticks of butter, a whole jar of Frank's Red Hot Sauce, and as much Tabasco sauce as you want.

After the chicken is cooked, you just let it drain on a paper towel, then you roll them in the sauce!

It is super easy and super yummy (might not be super healthy though :)!

I like your new colors here Bekah! I came when you had no comments but the pressure was too much for me so I thought I'd swagger in a little late and say hi.

Hmmm...favorite book eh? I'm not sure. But one of my faves in the last couple years is called "I Capture the Castle" by Dodie Smith (which is not a new book). And the one I have now that I know I'll like if I'll just sit down and read it is "The Glass Castle". Did I just say castle again? That's a weird coinkadink. I am not obsessed with castles! The second book is not anywhere near a castle it's only a metaphor. Oh dear I hope I got the title right now. It's probably called The Glass Condo or something. yikes.

I heart castles
